The publication entitled ”Demographic situation of Wielkopolskie Voivodship in 2022” presents an analysis of demographic processes taking place in the Wielkopolskie Voivodship, including information on the population and factors shaping its number and structure, changes in fertility, mortality, life expectancy, marriages and divorces and migrations.

The analytical text was enriched by maps and charts illustrating of the various phenomena and trends. A summary of the most important demographic data is provided in the tabular part of the study in Excel format. Another novelty of this edition is the Delimitation of Rural Areas, which is based on the typology of functional urban areas. Rural areas are classified in terms of how they are influenced by cities. The purpose of the applied delimitation is to ensure a uniform presentation of the results of statistical surveys on rural areas, emphasizing their diversity.
