The publication consists of methodological notes explaining used notions and table part enriched by graphs. The structure of the tables and a method of data presentation express our wish to as full and communicative as possible presentation of composite and multilateral aspects of influence of human’s activity on the environment. The basic source of the presented data are surveys conducted by the Central Statistical Office supplemented with information derived from the socalled administrative sources made available by the ministries, the Inspection of Environmental Protection as well as specialized hydrological, meteorological, geological and geodesic services
