The volume entitled ”Situation on the labour market in Wielkopolskie Voiodship”, published in the ”Statistical Analyses” series, is the fourth edition of the report covering the period from 2015 to 2018. The comprehensive picture of the labour market contained in the current issue is presented from four perspectives. The first one represents the supply side, i.e. the economically active population, including people in employment and those not employed for various reasons but constituting part of the potential labour force. The second perspective shows the demand side, i.e. employers looking to fill vacancies, creating new jobs and seeking employees with specific skills. Thirdly, the perspective of labour costs focuses on expenses incurred by employers in connection with employing workers, taking into account the structural differentiation in wages. The last perspective reveals broadly defined working conditions, including the health and safety of employees, the incidence rate of accidents at work, the risk of occupational diseases, as well as mobility possibilities of employees travelling to work outside their gmina of residence, average commuting distances and main directions of commuting.
