The information presented here shows structural changes taking place within age groups of children and youth, describe the development of education and the level of participation of youth in culture and sport and draw a picture of families in the Wielkopolska region, taking into account also the problem of the juvenile delinquency. The presented data concern, in general, the year 2008, but they were also presented within the time period 2000 – 2008, if it was possible. This structure of the information gives a possibility to perceive current structural changes, allows to discover trends and to observe directions of changes and, in consequence, to identify the perspectives of development for young inhabitants of the Wielkopolskie Voivodships.
